Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in various accounting software and financial management practices within a dynamic organisation committed to professional growth. Responsibilities

Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently to ensure timely payments and collections.
Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organisational objectives.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies related to financial management.
Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
Mentor junior team members or interns in accounting practices and software utilisation to foster professional development within the team.
Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial data for decision-making purposes.

Requirements

Proven experience in financial accounting within a similar role, ideally with knowledge of multiple accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems.
Strong understanding of financial services industry practices is advantageous.
Proficiency in managing accounts payable processes and general ledger activities.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to mentor or support colleagues in technical skills or process improvements.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and report preparation.
