Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests enjoy their experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in hospitality and a keen interest in the craft beer and real ale industry. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, engaging with customers, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Duties

Welcome guests warmly and take drink orders accurately
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options
Ensure all drinks are prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Manage cash register operations and process payments efficiently
Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere and promote specials or events
Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
Adhere to licensing laws regarding the sale of alcohol and responsible serving practices
Assist in setting up for events or private functions when required

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and excellent customer service skills
Understanding of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
A genuine interest in serving others and creating positive guest experiences
