Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bank Senior Care Assistant to join our team, providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. This role offers the opportunity to work across day and night shifts, ensuring the highest standards of support, safety, and well-being for our residents. As a senior member of staff, you will lead by example, supervising junior team members, developing personalized care plans, and fostering a warm, respectful environment. Your leadership and communication skills will be vital in delivering person-centered care that promotes independence and dignity.

Duties

Lead and supervise care staff during shifts, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to care standards
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, medication management, and nutrition
Develop, review, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, incidents, and resident progress using IT systems
Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care needs
Support the training and mentoring of junior staff to promote professional development and team cohesion
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care
Previous experience working in a care home or senior care environment with supervising responsibilities
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with residents, families, and colleagues
Knowledge of care planning processes and ability to develop tailored support strategies
Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
