Full job description

Fylde Rugby Community Foundation is an aspiring charitable organisation dedicated to transforming lives through sport and in particular rugby. We deliver high-impact programmes that promote health, wellbeing, inclusion, and lifelong participation in rugby across our communities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to lead impactful community programmes whilst supporting the continued growth and development of the Foundation.

Position:

Role: Programme Lead at Fylde Rugby Community Foundation (Full time)

Reporting to: Operations Manager at Fylde Rugby Community Foundation

Direct/Indirect reports: Community Sports Coaches, Apprentices and Casual Coaches

Location: Fylde Rugby Community Foundation, FY8 4EL

Job Type: Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Working package:

Basic salary of £27,000 - £28,000 + OTE up to £29,000

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables

Lead and oversee designated programme areas across schools, clubs and community settings.
Manage both revenue-generating and grant-funded programmes to ensure delivery targets and impact outcomes are achieved.
Manage programme budgets including forecasting, expenditure tracking and cost control.
Monitor programme performance against agreed KPIs, participation targets and impact outcomes.
Plan, coordinate and evaluate programme delivery across multiple settings.
Deliver high-quality coaching sessions across school, club and community programmes where required, whilst supporting wider programme oversight responsibilities.
Line manage and support Community Sports Coaches, Apprentices and casual delivery staff.
Conduct staff observations, reviews and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of delivery.
Support recruitment and inductions processes for delivery staff.
Develop, maintain and grow relationships with schools, clubs, funders and external partners.
Lead or support the completion of funding reports, monitoring data and programme evaluations to evidence programme impact.
Identify opportunities to grow programmes, increase participation and develop sustainable delivery models.
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and Foundation policies are consistently implemented across all programmes.
Support the Operations Manager with strategic planning and programme development.
Represent the Foundation professionally at meetings, events and partnership activities.
Support delivery where required across Foundation programmes, camps and community engagement activities.

Essential experience

England Rugby Coaching Award RFU Level 2 or equivalent.
Previous experience leading sports or community programmes.
Experience managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and programme performance.
Experience delivering in school and community-based settings.
Experience planning, evaluating and developing sports or community programmes.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Enthusiasm and passion for developing sport, in particular rugby and supporting community impact.
Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively within a team environment.
Ability to work to a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Knowledge of

Programme management and community sports development.
Budget management and financial monitoring.
Funding requirements, monitoring and impact reporting.
Local area for rugby or sport initiatives.
Principles of effective marketing and communication to support programme growth.
Sports provision within both state and independent school sectors.
Approaches to safeguarding children, young people and adults.

Desired skills

Ability to manage multiple programmes and priorities effectively.
Experience managing staff, apprentices or volunteers.
Strong communication and relationship management skills.
Ability to identify opportunities for programme growth and sustainability.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
Ability to adapt strategically to changing operational demands.
First Aid certificate.
