Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our team, committed to supporting the well-being and development of children and young people. This role involves working closely with families, schools, and community organisations to ensure children’s safety and promote positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and possess strong communication and organisational skills. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children through professional practice and compassionate support.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments of children’s needs, circumstances, and safety concerns in accordance with statutory guidelines.
Develop tailored care plans in collaboration with children, families, and relevant agencies.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to children and their families to promote stability and well-being.
Monitor progress of care plans, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet changing needs.
Attend case review meetings, court hearings, and multi-agency meetings to advocate for children's best interests.
Maintain accurate case records and documentation in compliance with organisational policies.
Deliver advice, counselling, and support services aimed at safeguarding children from harm.
Work proactively within the community to identify at-risk children and implement preventative measures.

Skills

Proven experience working with children in a social care or related setting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively under pressure.
Good understanding of safeguarding procedures, child protection legislation, and relevant policies.
Compassionate approach combined with resilience when dealing with challenging situations.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, happiness, and development of vulnerable children within our community. Pay: £180.00-£200.00 per day
