Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team. The role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving the wellbeing of clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity are maintained at all times. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive and personalised care.

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Supporting clients with medication reminders and health monitoring as per care plans
Providing emotional support and companionship to clients
Assisting with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
Maintaining accurate records of care provided in accordance with organisational policies
Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Driving to various locations for home care visits when required
Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols

Skills

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients from diverse backgrounds
Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting home care roles
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
