Full job description

Like working as a part of a team? Full-time receptionist/New Patients' Coordinator is required.

A position has become available at our Practice in Gatley, Cheadle, Cheshire for an ambitious dental receptionist.

At Gatley Park Dental Practice, team of dental receptionists support a large team of dentists, Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists. You will be supported by an experienced nursing team and treatment coordinator.

The successful applicant will have an extremely high standards of customer care, be excellent communicator and be welcoming and friendly to our patients. Dental knowledge is essential.

Reception Duties

Undertake daily opening and closing procedures including cash handling and banking procedures.
Optimise diaries through efficient management processes, ensuring appropriate spread of appointment types throughout each day.
Take action to fill cancellations immediately to reduce any potential surgery downtime
Optimise advancements in communications channels with customers such as email and SMS.
Regularly check voicemails and email inboxes ensuring responses within 24 hours.
Share customer feedback with the Practice Manager, be able to handle and diffuse complaints in the first instance, highlight issues and complaints where appropriate.
Adhere to all procedures ensuring own and others safety.
Ensure waiting areas, corridors and immediate external areas are kept clean, tidy and free from slip and trip hazards.

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience in Dental Receptionist
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Customer service skills, previous experience of working on a busy reception in a customer focused organisation.
Demonstrate flexibility.
Able to build strong relationships with the practice team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use IT and operate computer based systems, experience of using SOE EXACT would be an advantage.
