Venue Manager

We are looking for an experienced, friendly and customer focused Venue Manager to lead our vibrant city centre venue. Our modern, bright spaces venues are the perfect place for delivering exceptional events and outstanding guest experiences.

about the role and you:

The successful candidate will have strong event operation experience, a hands on approach and a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike. You will be confident in managing day-to-day venue operations, to a high standard and ensuring all of our visitors receive an excellent service from start to finish. You will need strong communication skills and a passion for food and great service complying with health and safety regulations at all times. Good people are key to our success so you will have experience in recruiting and managing a successful team. If you thrive in a fast paced environment and take pride in delivering memorable experiences we would love to hear from you.

You will…

Report to the Group Manager.

Create a welcoming and friendly experience for our clients, maintaining the smooth running of the venue.

Have previous experience in a managerial role. A strong team player who is eager to build a successful team around them.

Making sure Event Delivery is of the highest standard, including room set up, equipment requirements and working with the sales team to ensure the clients expectations are achieved.

Passionate about building and leading a proactive, self motivated team and providing great food and service, able to deal with any recruitment and performance issues.

Managing the team levels and rotas according to the levels of business in the diary.

Experience with working to and keeping within budgets.

Self motivated with a high attention to detail, ensuring we deliver the best possible experience to all of our guests.

Pro active and solution driven able to deal with any issues on the day, which may arise calmly and successfully.

Successful past experience in managing budgets and stock control.

Able to communicate at all levels, to all stakeholders including the senior management team, clients and staff.

Comply with all health, safety and food hygiene obligations, including record keeping. Ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and kitchen practice.

Conducting site visits when required.

Food Safety Level 3 desirable. DBS will be required.

We became thestudio in 2006 and we are now an independent company, owned and run by the same team since the beginning but now having grown to 46 meeting rooms across 4 locations around the UK.

Though we’ve grown a lot our friendly, people focused ethos and culture very much remains at our heart. It’s important to us that everyone that attends one of locations feels welcome and looked after. We’re not a large corporate chain and we’re really proud of that. We work hard. We be ourselves.
