Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our team at The Dartmouth Arms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests enjoy their experience. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the smooth operation of the bar area. Previous experience in a bar environment is essential.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with standard recipes and safety guidelines
Greet guests warmly and take their orders efficiently
Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times
Handle cash and card transactions accurately
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with legal requirements
Assist in setting up and closing
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally and courteously
Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety
Restock supplies as required during shifts to ensure smooth service flow

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, food and hygiene, or serving roles is required
Good understanding of basic maths for handling transactions and measuring drinks
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to health and safety standards
