Self-Employed Yoga & Stretch Instructor – AberFit

AberFit – Stretch & Flex

AberFit is a new local fitness business which will offer a wide range of well-being classes such as the Stretch & Flex Yoga Class.We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and qualified self-employed instructors to join us.

About the role

As a Stretch & Flex instructor, you’ll lead friendly, accessible sessions designed to improve flexibility, mobility, balance and overall wellbeing.

Where possible, sessions will be held outdoors, making use of suitable local parks and open spaces. During colder or unsuitable weather, classes will move to indoor venues.

We’re looking for instructors who can create a welcoming environment for people of different ages and fitness levels, while delivering safe and enjoyable sessions.

What we’re looking for

Ideally, you will have:

A recognised yoga, Pilates, fitness or relevant movement qualification
Experience delivering group exercise classes
A friendly, confident and professional manner
Good communication skills
The ability to adapt sessions for different abilities and fitness levels
A strong focus on participant safety
Reliability and enthusiasm
The ability to work independently as a self-employed instructor

Newly qualified instructors with the right attitude and relevant qualifications are welcome to apply.

Location & hours

Classes will be delivered in the Aberystwyth and surrounding area, with specific locations and schedules discussed with successful applicants.

There is flexibility around availability, and we are particularly interested in instructors who can offer regular weekly sessions.

Rate of pay

£15-£20 per session/hour (rising with the success of the business), depending on experience, qualifications and class size.

As this is a self-employed position, instructors are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance arrangements.
