The firm provides tailored guidance on retirement and pension planning, investment and wealth management, preservation of wealth for future generations, mortgage advice, and personal protection, including life insurance, critical illness, and income protection. In addition, they also provide financial advice and guidance to UK businesses large and small.

Metrita Wealth Management focuses on understanding each client’s priorities, explaining options clearly, and delivering honest, thoughtful financial planning.

As an independent firm, its recommendations are based solely on what is in the client’s best interests, building long-term relationships founded on trust. The team is committed to offering clarity, confidence, and a personal, listening-led approach to financial advice.

Role Description

This is a full-time Financial Advisor role based in Bury St Edmunds. The Financial Advisor will meet with new and existing clients to understand their financial goals, assess their current circumstances, and develop tailored financial plans.

Daily responsibilities include advising on pensions and retirement strategies, investments, and wealth management solutions, as well as providing guidance on mortgages and personal protection products where appropriate.

The role involves conducting research on financial products and markets, preparing suitability reports, maintaining accurate client records, and ensuring recommendations comply with regulatory requirements.

The Financial Advisor will also help nurture long-term client & professional relationships, respond to client queries in a timely manner, and contribute to the firm’s professional, client-focused culture.

Requirements

Strong financial planning skills, including experience in holistic Financial Planning and core Finance principles.
Expertise in Retirement Planning, with the ability to design and review pension strategies aligned with client goals.
Knowledge of Investments and broader Financial Advisory practices, including risk profiling and portfolio construction.
Proven experience in client-facing advisory roles, with excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
High standards of integrity, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, numerical, and report-writing abilities, with good IT skills and familiarity with financial planning tools.
Ability to manage a varied workload independently, work effectively in a team, and adapt to a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent) and commitment to ongoing professional development.
CeMAP or equivalent, Equity Release or Long-term Care qualifications are desirable but not essential.
