Software Tester / QA Engineer

Reference: PVUK/ST/June26

Location: Hounslow

Salary: £35,000.00 - £45,000.00

Job Open date: 30th June 2026

Close date: 29th July 2026

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester (QA Engineer) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality software releases. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.
Identify, document, and track software defects.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
Validate bug fixes and ensure quality before release.
Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
Create and maintain test documentation.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Required Skills

1–3+ years of experience in software testing (or freshers with strong QA knowledge are welcome, if applicable).
Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira.
Understanding of API testing using Postman.
Basic knowledge of SQL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
