Full‑time | 5‑day week | Central London (Trafalgar Square)

We are now looking for a friendly, skilled, and hands‑on Maintenance Engineer with (a Painting & Decorating Focus) to join our dedicated Engineering Team.

Set in a prime location, right next to Trafalgar Square, Page8 is a design-led 138 room hotel inclusive of Page Common, part-bar and part coffeehouse. It provides the perfect spot for exploring all that London offers!

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Shift Engineer / Painter & Decorator, you will:

Oversee daily engineering and maintenance operations in line with checklists
Carry out high‑standard painting & decorating across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house
Respond to routine and urgent maintenance requests from all hotel departments
Complete regular inspections and preventive maintenance across life‑safety systems and hotel facilities
Ensure all statutory compliance is met and report any safety concerns
Support and supervise external contractors working on site
Work 8‑hour shifts across a 5‑day week (flexible schedule including weekends)

What We’re Looking For

You will thrive in this role if you have:

Previous experience as a Maintenance, Shift, or Hotel Engineer (luxury hotel experience desirable)
Strong painting & decorating skills with great attention to detail
Certified knowledge in at least one engineering discipline
A “can‑do” attitude and the ability to prioritise tasks independently
Good communication skills (English preferred) in a guest‑facing environment
Flexibility to work different shifts including weekends
A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach

A desire to grow your engineering career

Multi‑skilled engineering (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, life safety)
Facilities management responsibilities and leadership exposure
