Full job description

At Parkview Residential Home, we're looking for a caring, reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our busy kitchen team.

This isn't just another kitchen role. Every meal you help prepare contributes to the wellbeing of our residents and makes a real difference to their day.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside our Head Chef you will:

Assist with preparing fresh meals and desserts for our residents.
Help serve meals in a timely and friendly manner.
Wash pots, utensils and kitchen equipment.
Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Complete daily cleaning schedules.
Follow food hygiene and infection control procedures.
Support stock rotation and organisation.
Work closely with the care team to ensure residents receive the correct meals and special diets.
Help create a warm, welcoming dining experience for our residents.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

Reliable and punctual.
Hardworking with a positive attitude.
Able to work well within a team.
Happy working in a busy kitchen environment.
Passionate about cleanliness and food hygiene.
Caring and respectful towards older people.
Flexible to work weekdays, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

A Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous.
