Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations in a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for managing the bar staff, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your expertise in both the culinary and hospitality sectors will play a crucial role in enhancing our patrons' experience. We are a busy sports venue and are looking for a positive "can do" candidate.

Duties

Supervise and lead the bar team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Oversee daily bar operations, including cellar management, function room set up, inventory management, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment and controlling staff shifts.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards to provide a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Recruitment and train staff on customer service skills.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Monitor financial performance of the bar, implementing strategies to maximise profitability while maintaining quality service.

Skills

Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management within a hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices related to bar operations.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and customers.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences is essential.
