Full job description

Our Company

Vestey Foods UK is a fourth-generation family business that operates in the sourcing, development, production and distribution of food products. It provides a wide range of food products for foodservices, retailers, public institutions, wholesalers, and manufacturers in the UK and Ireland.

Role Purpose

Provide a reliable and comprehensive administrative service to the industry business unit. Support the business unit in all aspects of forecasting, reporting, raising of purchase and sales orders. Communicate by email and verbally with both internal teams and customer planning teams.

Main duties / responsibilities

Process and raise sales / purchase orders.
Work closely with cold stores to ensure deliveries are achieved within the agreed time frames.
Monitor the progress of inbound shipments, liaising with other logistics functions to ensure timely delivery of stock and notify the business of any variances.
Manage and resolve any shipping queries that may arise.
Raising of invoices & credit notes.
Review and reconcile stock reports with third party warehouses and promptly follow up on any discrepancies.
Organise any product returns/ liaise with technical on non-conformances.
Monitor service levels across the business unit and escalate any issues.
General administrative duties.
Ensure all activities adhere to the Vestey values.

Knowledge, skills and experience

Strong administration experience, including data entry.
Experience in building and maintaining relationships.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
Advanced Microsoft skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and work accuracy.
Sound problem solving skills.
Business Central experience.

Competencies

Tenacious, with the ability to drive tasks through to completion.
Self-driven with a proactive attitude and maintains composure under pressure.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making quick and logical decisions.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload.

Pay: £28,000.00 per year
