Healthy Homes Manager

Salary: £58,938 per annum 35 hours per week

Enhanced DBS Required

Hightown Housing Association is looking for an exceptional Healthy Homes Manager to lead and develop a vital service dedicated to ensuring our residents live in safe, healthy, and well-maintained homes.

This is a senior operational role with a real social purpose. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for responding to damp and mould cases, managing property-related hazards, delivering compliance with Awaab's Law, and overseeing an in-house multi-trades team carrying out remedial works across our housing portfolio.

Hightown Housing Association is a charitable organisation providing affordable homes and support services across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. We manage around 10,000 homes and employ over 1,000 colleagues, all committed to making a positive difference in our communities.

The Role

As Healthy Homes Manager, you'll lead the delivery and future development of Hightown's Healthy Homes service, ensuring we respond effectively and proactively to hazards reported within our residents' homes.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading Hightown's response to damp and mould cases in line with Awaab's Law.
Managing a team of inspectors, coordinators, customer liaison staff and multi-trade operatives.
Developing policies, procedures and services to support the implementation of future phases of Awaab's Law.
Ensuring hazards are identified, investigated and resolved within required timescales.
Supporting residents through complex cases, including decants where necessary.
Managing performance, budgets, quality standards and service improvements.
Producing performance reports, analysis and recommendations for senior leadership.
Ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused repairs and maintenance service.

What We're Looking For

You will bring:

Strong knowledge of building construction, surveying and building regulations.
Experience managing repairs, maintenance, compliance or asset-related services.
Knowledge and practical experience of Awaab's Law and HHSRS requirements.
Experience leading and motivating high-performing teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong project management, organisational and analytical abilities.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
