Job Title: Business Development Manager

Salary: £42000. per annum

Working Hours 37.5 hours per week. The business operates seven days a week, on rota basis,

including weekends and evenings where required.

Location of Work: Glasgow

Job Purpose

The business development manager will be responsible for developing and expanding the

commercial activities of Bakery throughout Glasgow and Scotland. The role focuses on

generating new wholesale and commercial business, maintaining relationships with existing

customers, identifying market opportunities, promoting the company's products and increasing

overall sales revenue.

The post holder will represent the business professionally while working closely with

management to implement sales strategies and achieve business growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement business growth strategies to increase retail sales and profitability.

* Identify opportunities to expand the customer base and improve customer retention.

* Build partnerships with local businesses.

* Plan and deliver promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and marketing initiatives.

* Analyse sales performance, customer trends, and market opportunities to support business

decisions.

* Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.

* Work closely with store management to improve customer service and operational

performance.

* Prepare regular sales, performance, and business development reports.

* Support the opening of new retail opportunities and expansion projects where appropriate.

Essential Measure:

 Develop business strategies to raise sales, expand store traffic and optimise profitability

 An ability to work methodically, efficiently and with an extreme passion

 Be able to work under pressure to achieve targets

 Must have experience about Asian sweets / mithai and Kashmiri cookies

 Previous experience working in retail food industry

 Strong food and hygiene awareness

 Flexibility to work addition hours, including evenings and weekends

 Must be bi-lingual fluent in English, Urdu & Punjabi

Experience:

2 years sales experience in food industry (required)
