Full job description

Position Overview

As a Bartender at Vox, you’ll be the face of our bar — crafting exceptional drinks, delivering outstanding service, and making sure every guest leaves with a smile. Whether you’re mixing a classic cocktail or recommending your personal favourite, you'll play a key role in making each night one to remember.

Key Responsibilities

Warmly greet and engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner
Take drink orders and serve a wide range of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages
Prepare drinks to spec using in-house recipes
Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organised bar area at all times
Learn and prepare for daily service, including setup and closing tasks
Operate the POS system and handle payments accurately
Provide recommendations on drinks and menu items to enhance the guest experience
Monitor and manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed
Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Respond to customer inquiries and feedback professionally
Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth and efficient service

What We’re Looking For

Must be 18 years or older
Previous bartending or hospitality experience is preferred, but not required
Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer is a plus
Excellent communication, customer service, and people skills
Positive, friendly, and approachable attitude
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-energy environment
Attention to detail and good organisational skills
Willingness to learn and grow within the role
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Understanding of responsible alcohol service and licensing regulations
