We are seeking talented and adaptable individuals to join our temporary workforce across a variety of administrative and support roles within both clinical and non-clinical teams.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are immediately available to work on a short term and full-time basis!

Are you an experienced Administrator, Coordinator, Advisor, Ward Clerk, Receptionist, Secretary? Perhaps you're a recent graduate or have strong administrative experience and are looking for your first or next opportunity. If so, we'd love to hear from you.

You will often be based within our clinical departments and will be one of the first points of contact for patients, families, and colleagues. You'll need to be customer-focused, approachable, and professional, with excellent IT skills and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced setting. You'll need excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, a professional telephone manner, and and a strong commitment to customer service .

You'll bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues, helping to ensure the smooth running of key business functions.

Main duties of the job

Our roles are varied and challenging and your day to day duties may include;

Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the hospital including the provision of administrative support to clinical staff .
Provide administrative support non clinical areas such as Finance, HR.
Helping track our patients through their journey to ensure a great patient experience.
Supporting the Senior Administrators including typing of clinical correspondence and adding patients to waiting lists.
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way

Strong communication and customer service skills
Good IT literacy and experience using Microsoft Office applications
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Joining our Bank provides a great opportunity to gain experience across a variety of departments within the hospital, offering valuable insight into different areas of the organisation and helping you develop skills that could support future applications for permanent roles at GOSH.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are immediately available to work on a full-time basis. While the majority of our assignments are full-time opportunities, applications are welcome from those seeking part-time work. Essential criteria

GCSE Level 2 (Grade A* - C) or equivalent in English, ICT and Mathematics or equivalent experience
Level 2 or 3 Administration/Customer Service/Secretarial or Higher apprenticeship Level 3 or equivalent experience

Desirable criteria

RSA Level 2 Typing or equivalent
Degree level Education

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria

Demonstrable previous experience of providing administrative support in a team environment
Experience of maintaining efficient administrative systems
Experience of using hospital operational systems (medical records/waiting lists/out patients)
Knowledge and understanding of the health service
Knowledge and understanding of Equality and diversity
Experience of updating and maintaining database systems or records
Relevant previous reception/customer service experience
Experience of maintaining confidentiality and data protection
Experience of working in a diverse team

Desirable criteria

Experience of working in the NHS or healthcare setting e.g. GP surgery, private hospital
