Nursery Office Administrator (Part-Time)

26.25 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 7.45 am – 1.00 pm

Salary: £19,500 per annum (26.25 hours per week)

Location: Dunchurch Montessori Nursery School, Dunchurch

The Dunchurch Montessori Nursery School is looking for an organised, friendly and reliable Nursery Office Administrator to become the welcoming face of our nursery.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work closely with our Nursery Manager, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the nursery while providing excellent service to prospective and existing families. If you enjoy working with people, are highly organised and thrive in a busy environment, we would love to hear from you.

As the first point of contact for many parents and visitors, you will play an important role in creating a positive impression of our nursery while ensuring our administrative systems run efficiently.

About the Role

Working as part of our close-knit team, you will be responsible for a wide range of office and administrative duties, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome parents, visitors and professionals to the nursery in a warm and professional manner.
Answer telephone and email enquiries from prospective and existing parents, responding professionally and directing enquiries where appropriate.
Manage the nursery diary, appointments and meeting schedules.
Maintain accurate children's records and administrative documentation.
Prepare and issue invoices, fee information and other parent communications.
Use Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Calendar) to manage day-to-day administration.
Assist with basic bookkeeping and financial administration.
Organise and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
Prepare documents, letters and reports as required.
Support the Nursery Manager, Bursar and wider nursery team with administrative tasks.
Coordinate meetings and prepare documentation where required.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR requirements.
Help ensure office procedures remain efficient and well organised.

Training and Professional Development

Following your induction, you will receive fully funded training in:

Safeguarding Auditing
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Adult First Aid
Other statutory training including GDPR relevant to your role

About You

Has previous experience in an administrative or office support role.
Has excellent organisational skills and can manage multiple priorities.
Has excellent spoken and written English.
Has strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Is confident communicating with parents, colleagues and external professionals.
Has excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
Has a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Is confident using Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Calendar) or similar office software.
Can work independently whilst also contributing positively as part of a team.
Can handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
Enjoys working in a busy, friendly environment where no two days are the same.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, an Enhanced DBS check and completion of all required safeguarding and statutory training.
