Bar Manager – Live-In Position

Location: Northwich, Cheshire
Pay: £300 per week
Benefits: Living accommodation included
Position: Bar Manager
Hours: To be agreed and stated in the employment contract

We are looking for a friendly, dependable and motivated Bar Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our venue in Northwich, Cheshire.

This is a live-in position offering £300 per week, with accommodation provided. The role would suit someone with strong people skills, a responsible attitude and an interest in developing a career in hospitality management.

Main Responsibilities

Overseeing the daily operation of the bar
Providing welcoming and professional customer service
Supervising, supporting and motivating bar staff
Preparing staff rotas and coordinating shift cover
Opening and closing the premises
Managing cash, card payments and end-of-shift reconciliations
Monitoring stock levels and placing or receiving orders
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
Ensuring licensing, health and safety, and responsible-service procedures are followed
Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
Supporting promotions, events and other activities designed to increase trade
Reporting maintenance, staffing or operational concerns to the owner or senior management

About You

The successful applicant should be:

Reliable, organised and trustworthy
Friendly, confident and approachable
Able to lead and support a small team
Comfortable working independently and making responsible decisions
Calm and professional during busy periods
Willing to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required
Committed to delivering excellent customer service
Able to maintain accurate records and manage cash responsibly

Previous experience in a bar, pub, restaurant or hospitality-management role would be advantageous. However, applicants with strong transferable skills and the right attitude will also be considered.

A Personal Licence is desirable but not essential, as appropriate training and support can be provided to the successful applicant.
