Full job description

Job Description:

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to work in our friendly, well established GP practice. The Success candidate will be required to provide a comprehensive clerical and receptionist service. Terms and conditions of post will be discussed at interview stage.

The successful candidate needs to be available to work between 8.30am-6.15pm Monday- Friday. Please note this a Part time job of 17.5 hours per week. Permanent after a 3 months probationary period.

Qualifications

Proven office and administrative experience in a medical or healthcare setting
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
5 GCSE's at a grade C or above
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using office software and medical management systems
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Familiarity with scheduling appointments and managing patient records

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Manage appointment scheduling and maintain the office calendar efficiently.
Handle incoming calls and inquiries, providing information and directing them as necessary.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with regulations.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth office operations.

Job Types: Part-Time (17.5hrs), Permanent after a 3 months probationary period.

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

Medical Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
