Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated bricklayer to join our team in a hands-on construction role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various building trades, including masonry, carpentry, roofing, and the use of power tools and hand tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, ensuring high standards of safety and craftsmanship. All roles are paid positions, including internships, providing valuable experience within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out construction and repair tasks efficiently.
Perform bricklaying and masonry work with precision to meet project specifications.
Execute carpentry duties such as framing, fitting, and finishing work.
Conduct roofing installations and repairs, ensuring durability and weather resistance.
Carry out welding operations to join metal components securely.
Assist with site preparation, material handling, and organisation of work areas.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to high standards.

Requirements

Proven experience or training in masonry, carpentry, roofing, welding or related trades is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to construction tasks.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Good physical fitness with the capacity to perform manual labour for extended periods.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various project requirements.
