Press Brake Operator

Salary: £29,000 – £30,200 per year, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week

About Jetcut Ltd

Jetcut Ltd is an established and growing engineering company based in Glengarnock. We specialise in precision profile-cutting and engineering solutions, supplying high-quality components to customers across a wide range of industries.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on position within a busy engineering environment. As well as operating the press brake, you will be involved in the wider production, goods-in, dispatch and customer collection operations.

The Role

Your main responsibility will be the setting and operation of CNC press brake machinery (Amada HFE M2 2204), producing accurate, high-quality components to customer requirements.

The role will also include:

Setting and operating CNC press brake machinery.
Reading and working from engineering drawings.
Selecting the correct material for each job.
Loading and unloading materials using a forklift.
Selecting and loading CNC programs.
Carrying out quality checks and measurements.
Ensuring components meet required dimensions and tolerances.
Preparing finished orders for collection and delivery.
Wrapping and securing pallets ready for dispatch.
Helping with goods in and goods out.
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
Moving materials and finished components around the workshop.
Dealing directly with customers and delivery drivers.
Assisting customers with collections.
Ensuring customer orders are correctly prepared and ready for collection or delivery.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Supporting the wider team with general workshop duties as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and become a reliable member of our team.

Essential requirements:

Previous experience operating a CNC Press Brake.
Valid Fork Lift Truck licence.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Good understanding of workshop health and safety.
Reliable and punctual.
Good communication skills.
Professional and friendly manner when dealing with customers and delivery drivers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A willingness to get involved across different areas of the business.

Desirable experience:

CNC press brake setting experience.
Sheet metal or fabrication experience.
Previous engineering workshop experience.
Experience operating other CNC machinery.
Goods-in or goods-out experience.
Experience preparing orders for dispatch.
