We're looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to take complete ownership of our organic marketing and digital presence. This isn't a role for someone who simply posts on social media—we're looking for someone who can grow our brand, increase traffic and sales, and continually identify new opportunities to improve our marketing performance.

The Role

As our Marketing Executive, you'll take complete ownership of Pound Fabrics' organic marketing and digital presence.

Your objective is simple: build a recognisable and engaging brand, increase organic traffic, drive website traffic, grow sales and continually improve our digital presence.

You'll have full responsibility for our organic social media, email marketing, website content, online communities and digital marketing activities. We're looking for someone who doesn't just create content—they continually improve our marketing, identify opportunities, solve problems independently and deliver measurable commercial results.

This is a role for someone with an ownership mentality. We expect you to proactively identify opportunities, implement improvements without waiting for instructions and continually optimise every aspect of our marketing. Leadership should only need to review performance, discuss strategy and support major decisions—not manage the day-to-day marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Take complete ownership of Pound Fabrics' organic marketing strategy.
Plan, create and schedule engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and other relevant social media platforms.
Produce high-quality graphics, promotional banners and marketing materials.
Photograph and film fabrics, customer projects, tutorials, behind-the-scenes content and promotional material.
Create engaging short-form videos using AI tools and modern editing software.
Write compelling captions and optimise content for maximum reach, engagement and conversions.
Create and manage email marketing campaigns, newsletters and promotional emails.
Manage and grow our Facebook groups and online sewing community.
Respond to comments and messages, building an engaged and loyal customer community.
Source and encourage user-generated content from customers and creators.
Build relationships with influencers and content creators to increase brand awareness organically.
Coordinate with the buying team to promote new arrivals, seasonal collections and promotional campaigns.
Regularly update the website with banners, promotions, landing pages, product imagery and marketing content.
Continually review the website to ensure it provides an excellent customer experience and remains visually engaging and conversion-focused.
Plan, execute and analyse A/B testing across website pages, landing pages, banners, calls-to-action and marketing campaigns to continually improve conversion rates and sales.
Monitor competitors, industry trends, AI tools and emerging technologies, implementing new ideas where appropriate.
Analyse website, email and social media performance, producing regular reports with actionable recommendations.
Utilise AI tools and automation to improve productivity, content creation and marketing performance.
Proactively identify and implement new opportunities to increase website traffic, customer engagement, brand awareness, conversion rates and revenue.
Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure marketing supports business objectives.
Take ownership of the overall digital marketing strategy, continually improving performance without requiring day-to-day supervision.

What We're Looking ForEssential

Proven experience in a marketing role with a strong portfolio of previous work.
Excellent graphic design skills (essential).
Strong experience creating engaging content across multiple social media platforms.
Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software.
Experience producing high-quality photography and short-form video content.
Experience managing email marketing campaigns.
Confident using AI tools such as ChatGPT and other AI content creation software.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of e-commerce.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Highly proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently.
A genuine ownership mentality with the ability to identify opportunities and implement improvements without requiring constant supervision.

Desirable

Shopify experience.
Experience within an e-commerce or retail business.
Knowledge of Meta Business Suite, Pinterest and TikTok analytics.
Experience using Google Analytics or similar reporting platforms.
Experience working with influencers and online communities.
