Vehicle Technician

Slaters Motor Group – Sunderland

Salary: £36,000–£42,000 per year (Dependent on Experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Slaters Motor Group is a growing, family-run dealership based in Sunderland, with a reputation for quality vehicles and outstanding customer service. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our friendly and professional workshop team.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring every customer receives exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.

Complete vehicle inspections and health checks.

Perform MOT preparation and repair work.

Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer and company standards.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Work collaboratively with the workshop team to deliver excellent customer service.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician.

Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.

Experience working on a wide variety of makes and models.

A positive, motivated, and reliable attitude.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A full UK driving licence.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm

Every other Saturday: 8:30am – 1:00pm
