Full job description

Job Summary
We are a small family business, seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our office. This role requires excellent clerical skills, proficiency in computer applications, and a strong ability to communicate effectively over the phone with customers. The Office Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting our team and enhancing productivity. Candidates must be okay with working as part of a team but equally accepting to working alone at times and through quieter periods.

Duties

Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring timely responses.
Process incoming orders following time frames and ensuring efficient communication with customers
Handle phone calls and emails with professionalism, demonstrating excellent etiquette.
Communicate with other departments to ensure cohesive office operations.

Experience

Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with Sage 50 or similar accounting software is advantageous.
Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective interaction within the team and with external contacts.
