Full job description

Location: 801 Merlin Park, Ringtail Road, Burscough, L40 8JY

Contract: 45 hours a week over five days. Your availability will need to be flexible throughout the week and over the weekend, with regular shift patterns.

Salary: £31,500

Closing Date: Ongoing. We will complete the hiring process once we have identified the most suitable candidate.

Your Responsibilities

Working as part of the pastry team to produce a range of high-quality items from cakes to shaping and laminating dough to making fillings and everything in between.
Prepping, cleaning, and organising ingredients to ensure a smooth workflow.
Collaborating with your team and leadership to develop new ideas, contribute to recipe innovation, and help plan future production.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and food-safe kitchen at all times, upholding the highest hygiene standards.
Supporting a positive working environment by giving and receiving feedback with kindness and clarity.
Taking ownership of your learning and development; always looking to grow your skills and confidence.
Staying on top of essential admin tasks like fridge temperature logs and general food safety record-keeping.

Desirable Traits We’re Looking For

Experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting.
A solid understanding of pastry techniques including shaping, laminating, and fillings preparation.
The ability to produce cakes/cookies on a large scale in a timely manner.
Confidence working with production schedules and kitchen workflows.
Methodical, reliable, and detail-focused.
Genuinely passionate about creating delicious pastries and cakes, and excited to be part of a team that shares that energy.
Curious, driven, and ready to take ownership of your development.
A kind, communicative teammate who’s comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
