ProGen was established in 2014 and boasts an in-house team capable of managing all electrical and mechanical specialist areas. Our directly employed team of trade-trained engineers delivers multi-million-pound projects across the rail, industrial, and commercial sectors.

To support our ambitious growth, we are seeking a commercially astute Business Development Manager to win new building services and infrastructure projects. We pride ourselves on employing a highly knowledgeable and experienced workforce committed to delivering safe, efficient, and minimally disruptive services to our clients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our client base. In this energetic role, you will identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with clients, and develop strategic plans to increase our market presence. Your expertise will help us continue delivering exceptional, cost-effective solutions across electrical and mechanical services.

Responsibilities

Secure New Contracts: Identify, target, and secure high-value MEPH framework agreements and design-and-build projects across the UK.
Promote Turnkey Solutions: Educate principal contractors and industrial clients on the value of our all-in-one in-house MEPH capabilities.
Pipeline Management: Own the full B2B sales lifecycle, from identifying initial leads to supporting the estimating team during the tender/bid process.
Strategic Networking: Represent ProGen at major construction, infrastructure, and engineering industry events to expand our market footprint.
Client Retention: Nurture existing relationships with key accounts, tier-1 contractors, and industrial partners to maximize repeat business.

Requirements

Proven experience in business development or sales within the our sectors
Strong knowledge of CRM software, particularly Salesforce, for managing sales pipelines
Familiarity with CRM tools and data analysis to inform strategic decision-making
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
A proactive attitude with a passion for driving business growth and achieving targets
