Full job description

Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer

Swindon / Bristol / Gloucester | Up to £45,000 + Door-to-Door

The Package

Up to £45,000 basic salary
40-hour working week
Lunch hour paid when working a 9-hour day
Door-to-door travel paid
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
On-call rota of 1 weekday per week OR 1 weekend in every 5
Company phone/tablet provided
No tracking on the van

If you're an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer looking for a stable South West position with paid door-to-door travel, paid lunch breaks and a genuinely supportive working environment, this could be a great next move.

We're looking for an engineer who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety and wants to build a long-term career with an established business.

The Opportunity

This isn't a role where you'll be stuck working on the same equipment every day.

You'll cover a varied portfolio of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, visiting customer sites across the South West and becoming a trusted engineer for the clients you look after.

You'll be working on equipment including:

Cold rooms
Ice machines
Bottle coolers
Display cabinets
VRV / VRF systems
Split systems
Commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment

What you'll be doing

Carrying out servicing, Installs, planned maintenance and reactive repairs
Diagnosing faults and finding practical solutions
Working independently across customer sites
Building strong, professional relationships with customers
Keeping equipment operating efficiently and minimising downtime
Completing job reports accurately using a company phone or tablet
Responding to reactive calls as part of the on-call rota
Visiting the office when required for parts, equipment and van restocking

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an engineer who is technically capable, reliable and takes pride in delivering a quality service.

You'll need:

Proven experience in Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning
NVQ Level 2 or 3 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent
F-Gas Category 1
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Full UK Driving Licence
Good communication and customer-facing skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
