Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a busy hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for culinary excellence and team leadership to contribute to a thriving establishment. The position is paid and ideal for someone with substantial restaurant or hotel experience, including food preparation, cooking, and food safety knowledge.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality standards and consistency.
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to new and existing staff members.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies across all areas of operation.
Assist in serving customers when necessary, providing exceptional hospitality and resolving any issues promptly.
Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory control.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas.
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, and promotional activities.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, culinary skills, and food production.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to organise and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience in serving guests with professionalism and courtesy in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with hospitality operations, including hotel or barista experience is advantageous.
Good communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.

This role is suited for a dedicated professional eager to lead a team towards delivering outstanding dining experiences while ensuring operational excellence within a vibrant restaurant environment.
