Full job description

Bookkeeper(s) – Coventry (On-site / Hybrid)

Salary: £26–30k (DOE)

Holiday: 30 days

Type: 1 x Full-time and 1 x Part-time, permanent

Sachdevs is an established accountancy practice based in Coventry, supporting a broad client base across SMEs and international businesses. We operate a fully digital, cloud-based environment and focus on high-quality delivery and strong team collaboration.

We are looking to grow our Bookkeeping team with 2 new people, supporting our Client Account Managers and working within a pod structure.

Role Overview

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients
Process purchase and sales invoices
Complete bank and control account reconciliations
Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with MTD requirements
Assist with payroll processing where required
Support Client Account Managers with management accounts preparation (accruals, prepayments, etc.)
Ensure all work is completed accurately and on time
Work closely with the wider team to resolve queries

Systems

Xero (day-to-day use)
Dext
Fully cloud-based / paperless environment

Candidate Requirements

2–4 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role (practice preferred)
Good working knowledge of Xero (practical, day-to-day use)
Understanding of VAT and basic accounting principles
Experience with Dext or similar tools
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working in a digital, paperless environment
Good written and verbal English
