Full job description

We are looking for a Part-Time Customer Service Assistant to join our team based in Darlington. The role will involve working in a busy office environment of a recycling, waste management and skip hire company, dealing with customers both in person, over the phone and via email.

The job will include taking customer orders, keeping records up to date and compliant, dealing with customer queries in a timely manner and invoicing.

We also operate an on-site weighbridge for trade and our own wagons, so the role will involve communicating with drivers and taking customer payments.

Also incorporated will be aiding the manager with admin tasks such as data input and submissions in relation to the new Digital Waste Tracking requirements.

The candidate will also be responsible for keeping track of skip locations and liaising with customers on rentals, exchanges and collections.

Knowledge of or experience in the waste industry is beneficial but not essential.

The ideal candidate would have:

· Exemplary customer service skills

· A polite telephone manner

· Good organisational skills

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Outlook and Excel.

Hours are negotiable and can be discussed at interview. Pay will be hourly.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
