Join Our Friendly Team

TaxAssist Accountants is a well-established and growing accountancy practice dedicated to supporting small businesses, self-employed individuals and personal taxpayers. We pride ourselves on providing a professional, friendly, and personal service to every client.

We are looking for a reliable and organised Administrator to join our team for 24 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong administrative skills, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

As the first point of contact for many of our clients, you'll play a key role in creating a positive experience while supporting the smooth running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as the first point of contact for clients, both in person and over the telephone
Managing client enquiries professionally and efficiently
Coordinating and managing diaries and appointments
Completing new client onboarding and engagement processes
Processing client disengagements and maintaining accurate records
Booking in client work and ensuring jobs are allocated appropriately
Supporting credit control activities, including following up outstanding payments
Updating and maintaining client information within practice systems
Assisting with general office administration duties
Providing support to the wider team as required

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous administration or customer service experience
Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
Friendly, professional, and approachable attitude
Confidence in dealing with clients and building positive relationships
A proactive and flexible approach to work

Desirable Skills

Experience working within an accountancy practice, financial services, or professional office environment
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
Experience of diary management and credit control
We do operate from three locations – Ellesmere Port, Chester & Queensferry and so movement between them is desirable but not essential
