About Us

Sheriffmill Motor Company is a busy and well-established independent motor business, providing vehicle servicing, repairs, parts supply, and customer support to both private and commercial customers. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Parts Advisor / General Administrator.

The Role

This is a varied position combining parts department responsibilities with general administrative duties. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the business while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Parts Advisor Duties

Identifying, sourcing and ordering vehicle parts.
Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing and availability.
Managing parts stock levels and stock control procedures.
Receiving and checking deliveries.
Processing invoices and maintaining accurate parts records.
Supporting workshop staff with parts requirements.

General Administration Duties

Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally.
Booking customer appointments and managing workshop schedules.
Preparing quotations, invoices and customer documentation.
Maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
Assisting with general office administration tasks.
Supporting management with ad hoc administrative duties.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
Is computer literate and confident using Microsoft Office applications.
Has a strong attention to detail.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
Is reliable, professional and customer-focused.
Previous motor trade, parts advisory or administrative experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided.
