A family run business for over 50 years, Station Garage is the leading ŠKODA dealership serving Sussex and Surrey. Located in Broadbridge Heath, we stock a range of new and used vehicles as well as operate a large onsite workshop and impressive MOT testing centre, where we have recently become official Authorised Repairers for SEAT and CUPRA as well as Skoda.

Position available:

Accounts & Business Administration Apprentice (AAT Level 2)

Summary

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical business, finance and customer service skills within a supportive team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will provide support across a range of accounting and administrative functions whilst working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Salary:

£15,600 per annum

If aged 19+ there will be an increase after 12 months; rate of pay negotiable and may increase during apprenticeship, subject to positive employment/college targets achieved.

Training course

AAT level 2

Hours

Monday to Friday, 8.30 am until 5.00 pm.

37.5 hours a week

1st of September 2026

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small team within a successful family-run SME and gain valuable experience across finance, administration and customer service functions.

As an Accounts & Business Administration Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day operations of the finance and administration departments, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle invoicing and administration
Vehicle taxing and associated documentation
Processing and reconciling company credit card statements
Posting and processing fuel card transactions (UK Fuels)

Assisting with credit control activities, including:

Reconciling customer payments
Monitoring outstanding balances

Purchase ledger administration, including:

Monitoring supplier invoices
Scanning and attaching signed invoices to the system
Maintaining accurate supplier records
Answering telephone calls
Filing, scanning and maintaining electronic records
Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers where required
Supporting continuous improvement of administrative processes
Providing administrative support to other departments as required
Carrying out any other ad hoc duties necessary to support the smooth running of the business
