Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute to the smooth running of our facilities. The position involves working with a range of tools and technical systems, requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose mechanical faults using schematics and technical manuals
Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, bearings, gears, and hydraulic systems
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs and assembly tasks
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and modifications
Perform equipment assembly, installation, and calibration as required
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
Assist with troubleshooting complex mechanical issues to minimise downtime
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally

Skills

Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and components
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
Ability to perform assembly, disassembly, and maintenance tasks efficiently
Knowledge of equipment repair procedures and preventative maintenance practices
Capable of heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy components
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards troubleshooting issues
Good organisational skills for maintaining accurate records of work performed
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members

Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
