Full job description

Events Officer – 28 hours per week, 4 full days.

At Education Business Partnership (EBP), each year we help a wide range of businesses to meet their objectives through the programmes we develop and deliver with them. We harness the value from nearly 4,000 volunteer hours and over 1,000 work experience placements for the benefit of young people across the region.

We are currently looking for a Project Officer to join our Developing Skills Team, on a fixed term contract until August 2027. This role is for 28 hours per week, term-time only, and is based on a Full-time equivalent salary of £22,659. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team and positively impact over 25,000 young people each year.

If you can confidently see a project through from start to finish and have the skills to deliver educational workshops to both primary and secondary school audiences, we would love to hear from you.

Key information:
28 hours per week – To be worked over 4 full days 9am-4:30pm
£14.26-£14.78 per hour – Dependant on experience - (Full time equivalent £25,395 - £26,899)
38 weeks per year - Following the West Berkshire term dates

This role will require the successful candidate to:

· Liaise with schools, colleges and businesses to develop and deliver work related learning activities as set out in the annual programme

· Work with other internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective events to meet specified goals

· Carry out all aspects of event/workshop booking, preparation, delivery and evaluation – this will, from time to time, require travelling to and from events outside of your usual working hours dependant on workshop type and location

· Lead workshop/activity delivery to student groups of a variety of ages whether face-to-face or virtually

· Work collectively with other members of the EBP to develop strategies to ensure the ongoing success of the company

· Keep colleagues informed of relevant changes to legislation or local contacts as they apply to your immediate area of responsibility

You must have:

· Good project organisation skills, clear and logical communicator

· Experienced in managing successful events

· Demonstrable experience working in, or with, the business sector

· Proven track record in delivering to customer requirements and to deadline

· Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiating ability, tact and diplomacy to promote good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

· Experience of working on multiple consecutive projects

· Competent I.T user (Office suite)

· Good attention to detail

· UK driving licence (own car)

It would also be helpful if you have:

· Proven ability to undertake evaluation, monitoring and quality assurance exercises

· Good geographical knowledge of the Thames Valley

· Working knowledge of the education sector

· Knowledge of current developments within education
