No two days are the same. You’ll be involved in yard organisation, vehicle loading, deliveries and collections, stock management, and supporting our fabrication and installation teams.

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard & Delivery Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our yard and supporting the efficient delivery of materials and fabricated steelwork to customers and sites.

Key Responsibilities

Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
Organising and maintaining a tidy, safe, and well-managed yard.
Delivering and collecting materials, steelwork, and equipment.
Assisting with stock control and inventory management.
Carrying out vehicle and equipment checks.
Supporting workshop and site teams as required.
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience

Previous experience working in a yard, construction, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
Experience driving company vehicles and making deliveries.
Experience loading and securing materials safely.
Good understanding of health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
Forklift Truck Certificate (preferred but not essential).

Attributes

Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Flexible approach to work and willingness to assist across different areas of the business.

Job Details

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
