Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Fitters Mate to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist experienced window fitters in installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of window systems across commercial and residential projects. Your energetic approach and willingness to learn will contribute to delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in construction while working alongside seasoned professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Support window fitters during the installation, removal, and replacement of windows and related fixtures on-site
Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing tools, and setting up scaffolding or ladders safely
Assist with measuring spaces accurately using schematics and blueprints to ensure precise fitting
Handle and operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment with care and adherence to safety protocols
Help with the handling of materials such as glass, frames, and sealants, ensuring proper storage and disposal
Follow safety guidelines consistently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

Prior experience or knowledge in construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, plastering, or roofing is advantageous
Basic understanding of construction processes including fabrication, masonry work. Ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work from technical drawings or schematics accurately
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights safely

Full UK Clean driving licence.
Wage negoitable depending on experience.
