Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Payroll specialist to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage accurate financial record-keeping, process payroll efficiently, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Your proactive approach will help streamline our accounting operations, support financial transparency, and contribute to the overall success of our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about numbers, organization, and delivering exceptional support to our team.

Duties

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process payroll for all employees in a timely and compliant manner, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits
Manage accounts payable by verifying invoices, coding expenses correctly, and ensuring timely payments
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure data accuracy
Prepare financial reports and summaries to support management decision-making
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure smooth financial reporting cycles
Support audit preparations by maintaining organized documentation of financial transactions and payroll records

Experience

Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of payroll processing procedures and compliance requirements
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and vendor management
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks accurately
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external vendors
Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is highly preferred
Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and best practices in payroll management
