Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation that meets high standards of hygiene and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the food service industry, particularly those with an interest in culinary arts, hospitality, and restaurant environments. The role involves supporting chefs and kitchen staff by managing cleaning duties, assisting with basic food preparation, and maintaining a tidy workspace to facilitate efficient service.

Responsibilities

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
Supporting the kitchen team during service periods by ensuring all areas are clean and organised.
Restocking supplies and ensuring the correct storage of ingredients and utensils.
Maintaining cleanliness of floors, work surfaces, and storage areas throughout the shift.
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Supporting overall kitchen operations by adhering to health and safety policies at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy items when necessary.
A positive attitude towards learning new skills within the culinary or hospitality sector.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if needed. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality who are eager to develop their skills in a professional kitchen environment while contributing to a high standard of service delivery. All positions are paid in accordance with employment regulations.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
