Job Description

Trainee Ear Wax Removal Assistant

Location: Ear Wax Clinic Leicester

Hours: 20 hours per week (Part-time) – Monday to Saturday, 10:00am–2:00pm, with overtime expected on some weekday evenings and weekends

We are looking for a motivated, professional, and reliable Trainee Ear Wax Removal Assistant to join our growing team at Ear Wax Clinic Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on clinical experience who is looking to expand their skills within a supportive and specialist healthcare environment.

Working Hours

20 hours per week, worked Monday to Saturday, 10:00am–2:00pm
Overtime is expected during busy periods, including some weekday evenings and weekends
Flexibility is essential to meet clinic demand and support additional clinics where required

Key Responsibilities

Assisting clinicians with ear wax removal procedures (full training provided)
Preparing treatment rooms, equipment, and consumables for appointments
Supporting excellent patient care and ensuring a welcoming, professional experience
Maintaining high hygiene, infection control, and clinical standards
Sterilising and preparing equipment in line with clinic protocols
Assisting with general administrative and day-to-day clinic support duties as required
Supporting clinic operations across locations when needed

Requirements

Hands-on clinical experience is essential. Applicants must have practical patient-facing clinical experience, such as phlebotomy, dental nursing/assisting, dentistry, healthcare assistant, nursing, or a similar clinical role.
Please note: Administrative or reception experience alone is not sufficient for this position.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A caring, calm, and professional approach to patient care
Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and organisation
Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team
