Residential Support Worker Children's Homes

Location: Leiston, Ipswich

Salary: From £14.45 per hour wef 1st April 2026 plus additional payment for sleep in

Shift patterns - Include working long days 09:30am - 21:30pm plus extra sleep in

Full UK Driving licence is required.

We are looking for a support worker to become part of our family home, caring for young people who have sometimes complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop.

The role can be emotionally challenging and you could be handling difficult situations BUT you could be the person to change a life for the better.

You will be joining our lovely, big family home, where we support 3 young people and have fun, so you will be keeping them busy with baking, crafts and outdoors activities.

No experience or looking for your first support role, Keys offer initial and ongoing support and training to gain Children's qualifications up to management level.

What do you need?

Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations.
Full UK Driving licence is essential.
You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
