Full job description

J&L Recruitment are looking for an ambitious, career-driven individual to join our close-knit team as a Recruitment Executive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ready to begin an exciting career in recruitment and take on real responsibility and become an important part of a successful, market-leading company.

We are a small team with big ambitions. Everyone contributes to keeping the business moving whether that means; recruiting workers, supporting clients, maintaining compliance or stepping up to handle another essential task. Our office can change by the minute, so we must react quickly to new job requirements, worker availability and client needs. You will need to remain calm, think on your feet and confidently reprioritise your workload throughout the day.

We are looking for someone disciplined, assertive and proactive, with strong organisational skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately on computers. You must understand that even repetitive tasks need to be completed accurately and consistently because they are integral to the success of the business.

In return, you will receive intensive one-to-one training and support from our experienced team, helping you build confidence, develop valuable skills and quickly become a trusted member of the team and a recognised face of J&L Recruitment.

Your duties will include

· Communicating with operatives to find them suitable positions.

· Communicating confidently with clients when taking orders.

· Winning job orders and working quickly to fill them with suitable operatives

· Reacting rapidly to new orders, cancellations and changing client requirements

· Checking workers in and confirming that they have arrived safely for work

· Building strong, professional relationships with workers and clients

· Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and ongoing management of operatives

· Completing compliance checks accurately and maintaining high-quality records

· Monitoring certificates, qualifications, training requirements and expiry dates

· Helping operatives keep their documentation and training up to date

· Updating our recruitment, compliance and management systems/software

· Responding to changing priorities and resolving issues proactively

· Supporting colleagues with wider tasks that keep the business running successfully

The successful candidate will be:

· Ambitious, motivated and genuinely interested in building a career

· Confident and assertive when speaking with workers and clients

· An effective communicator, both over the telephone and in writing

· Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail

· Highly computer-literate and able to work quickly and accurately

· Able to learn new software and processes without sacrificing attention to detail

· Disciplined enough to complete repetitive but business-critical tasks accurately

· A quick, proactive thinker who looks for solutions

· Able to react immediately when circumstances or priorities change

· Capable of switching between tasks and prioritising effectively

· Calm and focused in a fast-moving office where situations can change by the minute

· Reliable, professional and willing to take responsibility

· A strong team player who is ready to step up when needed

· Meticulous when managing workers, records, certificates and expiry dates

· Comfortable completing occasional out-of-hours work when an urgent job requires it
