Full job description

Production Operative

Location: ABP Langport

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 6.00pm, Rolling Rest Day: One weekday off, rotating Monday through Friday. In addition, Production Operatives benefit from an extended four-day weekend every five weeks, supporting a positive work-life balance.

We are currently recruiting Production Operatives to join our Boning Hall team at ABP Langport. This is an excellent opportunity for hardworking and reliable individuals looking to build a long-term career in a fast-paced food production environment.

About the Role

As a Production Operative, you will play an important role in ensuring products are packaged and processed to both ABP and customer specifications. You will work as part of a team to meet production targets while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out production tasks in line with ABP and customer requirements.
Work efficiently to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Trim and process products to maximise yield while following company procedures and legislative requirements.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
Maintain PPE and ensure equipment issues are reported promptly.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and take responsibility for your own work.
Participate in training to develop skills and support continuous improvement.

Previous production or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
