Office Administrator

Nordic Damp Proofing Co | Portishead, Bristol Salary: £26,000 per year + Uncapped Commission - Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm Job Type: Full-time, permanent

About Us

Nordic Damp Proofing Co is a damp proofing, mould removal, and timber treatment specialist. Our head office is in Bournemouth, and we're now looking for an experienced Office Administrator to join the team at our secondary office in Portishead, Bristol.

The Role

You'll work directly alongside our Project Manager in a brand-new, freshly furnished office space at our Bristol site, which has plenty of room across 4 desks. Day to day it'll usually just be the two of you, though surveyors and managers from our other branch pop in from time to time, so the office is occasionally busier. As our Project Manager is often out on the road visiting sites and customers, you'll need to be confident managing the office independently and keeping things running smoothly.

This role suits someone who's organised, self-sufficient, and happy taking ownership of the admin side of the business without constant oversight. Full training will be provided by one of our current admin staff.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing day-to-day office administration
Handling calls, emails, and general customer enquiries
Supporting the Project Manager with scheduling, paperwork, and job coordination
Keeping records, files, and systems up to date and organised
General office duties to keep things running efficiently

What We're Looking For

Strong, proven administrative experience
Confident working independently and managing your own workload
Well organised with good attention to detail
Comfortable using phone, email, and standard office software
A reliable, proactive attitude — happy to be one of two people holding down the office

What We Offer

£26,000 per year + Uncapped Commission
Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm (no weekends)

Full training provided by an experienced member of our admin team
A friendly team environment

Location: Portishead, Bristol (our secondary office — HQ based in Bournemouth)
