About us

The Smiles Studio is a state of the art dental practice offering bespoke treatments such as Implants, Invisalign and Smilefast makeovers. Offering treatments on both a Private and NHS basis, our goal is to provide world class affordable options. We are a family owned business with two practices, one in Chandlers Ford and one in Lymington. The mission of our team is to treat our patients as we would treat a member of our own family.

Job description

We are looking for a full time receptionist who is well presented, organised and friendly with the skillset to enhance our patient's experience. We will offer full training, so dental experience is not essential, but the correct attitude is vital.

This role is ideal for someone who wants more than a standard reception position. You will be based across both our Chandlers Ford and Lymington practices, covering either site as needed. Alongside your front of house duties, we can offer the opportunity to train as a Dental Nurse, working towards a qualification and, over time, splitting your time between reception and chairside nursing across both practices. This gives you variety, a broader skillset and a genuine long term career path within the practice.

Reception duties include dealing with patients both face to face and over the phone, managing appointments and contributing to the overall smooth running of the practice.

Summary of job role

Meeting and greeting patients, providing a great first impression
Booking and amending appointments, answering the phone, updating patient records
Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
Making patients aware of dental services and offers
Handling payments
Liaising with other dental professionals, referral practices and laboratories
Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality
Maintaining stock and ordering supplies
Covering reception at both Chandlers Ford and Lymington as needed
Where interest is shown, supporting chairside and training towards a Dental Nurse qualification, working towards a role that floats between reception and nursing across both practices

The ideal candidate will have:

Ability to keep calm and professional in a fast paced environment
The ability to be organise, multitask and be able to work under pressure
Excellent telephone manner
Previous administration or reception experience
Personable, positive and enthusiastic with a great customer focus
Efficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Previous knowledge of Pearl computer system would be advantageous.
Strong communication and organisation skills
Well presented, reliable, and supportive
An interest in progressing into Dental Nursing and building a varied, long term career within the practice would be welcomed, though this is not essential

Candidate requirements:

The ideal candidate will have front desk reception experience or previous experience of working in a dental practice. A DBS check and references will be required upon commencing employment.

· Ability to travel to and work across both the Chandlers Ford and Lymington branches as needed (required)

License / Certification:

· Driving license (preferred)
