Full job description

Established since 1987, this 24 bedded Home in Sherwood, Nottingham specialises in residential, nursing and dementia care. We have a food hygiene rating 5 and are a family led Home.

As a multi-cultural home, we are looking for someone that can cook a variety of dishes, from traditional English to Caribbean and Indian. You will also have a level 2 Food hygiene certificate. Training for the role will be provided.

Your role will include:

Preparing all meals and snacks taking into consideration all dietary requirements and requests by residents
Priorities tasks
Managing the kitchen to ensure that meals are delivered in a timely manner
Assist residents to eat when required
Maintain a clean and hazard free kitchen and store cupboard environment, following COSHH standards
Document and adhere to food standard practices including checking fridge and freezer temperatures, expiry dates, checking deliveries for instance
Checking stock
